Christina is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota. She received her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in 2013. She has a Bachelor of Arts from St. Cloud State University in Sociology and Diversity Studies.
Since 1989 Christina has worked in a variety of settings including treatment level foster care, residential, educational and vocational services. Participating at every level from direct care to executive management of programs for children, teens, adults, couples and family treatment. Christina has a comprehensive work history spent serving individuals with personality disorders, anxiety and depressive and severe emotional disorders. In particular, Christina has always utilized her broad-based knowledge of working with people that have neuro diversity conditions such as ADHD, selective mutism, panic attacks, Tourette’s Syndrome, OCD and ASD. And with people that have experienced marginalization due to being diverse or a minority in an unwelcoming majority setting.
Christina’s therapy approach is based on best practices over the lifespan that are quality of life seeking and solution focused. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based techniques (DBT, CBT, Attachment Therapy, EFT, ART and ERP) to help her clients achieve their goals. Christina enjoys working with individuals, couples, families, teens and children aged 9+.
